Fetter Lane, London
Our project at Fetter Lane in London saw a creative collaboration between the design team, artist Maria Gasparian, and Creative Brick Solutions to specify a series of bespoke special shaped brick slips that would give this central London building a distinctive identity. After exploring various options, the team settled on eight different motifs, designed by artist Maria Gasparian, to bring visual rhythm and unique character to this street-level facade.
We sourced clay to precisely match the existing building materials, ensuring these special shaped brick slips integrated seamlessly within their architectural context. The result is a bold architectural statement, a facade that is immediately recognisable, tactile in detail, and unique in character.
These bespoke special shaped brick slips were custom-manufactured and specified for this project with motif patterns and clay composition all carefully controlled to meet the project’s design goals. The diverse range of motifs added visual interest and individuality to this unique central London elevation. The results demonstrate how custom brickwork can move beyond standard finishes to deliver architectural expression and create a unique identity.
This case study shows that with thoughtful specification brickwork can become more than just a construction material; it can be a medium for facades that give a truly distinctive character.
